Our commitment is to children, their education, and well-being. As we dedicate ourselves to the practice of law, we also invest in causes that provide children with the opportunity to realize their full potential.
We also firmly believe that the legal profession must be a force for the common good. We assist low-income people in obtaining justice and engage in collaborations to bring about positive change in the justice sector.
"We are as concerned by the phenomenon of out-of-school children as we are about the burgeoning population of people in prison without a hope of justice."
SLP invests in innovative initiatives securing education for underprivileged children. Our commitments include supporting the establishment of Nigeria's first structured accelerated education school for overage and homeless out-of-school children who are excluded from conventional schools. We have also supported the Kids Innovation Hub, a STEAM empowerment project for underserved children, and supported the setup of three residential learning centres for homeless children. Beyond financial support, our lawyers actively volunteer their time and skills at outreaches in urban poor settlements.
In the realm of access to justice, SLP has collaborated with Touch the World to incubate The Justice Project, an initiative dedicated to justice and good governance. Through this collaboration, a digital probono clearinghouse was developed, connecting low-income individuals with probono legal services. SLP's lawyers further contribute by volunteering as probono lawyers at all levels of the court.
